A Louisville native, she graduated from Sacred Heart Academy then attended University of Louisvillewhere she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She continued her education at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry and graduated with honors including the Quintessence Book Award for Clinical Achievement in Restorative Dentistry, the National Society of Dental Practitioners Inc. Award, and membership in the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society.

Dr. Donelson spent a year in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry postgraduate residency before becoming an associate dentist. Sh has enjoyed membership in several professional affiliations including the Kentucky Association of Women Dentists, the American Dental Association, and the American Association of Dental Consultants.

Away from the office, Dr. Donelson enjoys spending time with her two daughters, Jorgia and Jinger, ages 16 and 9. She is a long time member of the Louisville YMCA where she has also served on their Board of Directors and helped with fundraising. She is a huge fan of University of Louisville sports and likes cooking new recipes with her girls, interior decorating and trying new restaurants around town.
